Legal Nurse Consultant  – Cleveland

Roetzel & Andress has an immediate opening for an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant / Nurse Paralegal to join our premier Medical Defense Team in Northeast Ohio. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides consultation, research, and investigation of medical records
  • Provides medical record chronology, summary, and/or analysis
  • Research medical literature for cases
  • Analyzes pre-deposition and post-deposition transcript data on expert witnesses
  • Provides pre-trial and trial support for attorneys
  • Investigates potential medical billing irregularities
  • Researches and recommends medical experts
  • Provides data and assistance to medical experts
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills, Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
  • B.S.N. with minimum of 5 years clinical experience with a valid state registered nursing license
  • Obstetrics experience is a plus
  • Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate (LNCC) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office technology, including document management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform billable work and record time in accordance with client/firm policy
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently while using sound judgment in decision-making
This is an exempt position with salary range of $110,000 - $125,000.
